Who can be listed?
A genuine Putnam County operating presence is required: a local physical business, locally based independent provider, maker, grower or qualifying local chain location. Outside businesses are not eligible merely because they serve county customers.
Local eligibility is not business quality.
Verified confirms our local-eligibility checks. It does not guarantee workmanship, licensing, insurance or business quality. Ask the provider for the credentials or proof your particular job requires. “Not Yet Verified” is not a statement that full checks are finished.
Owner claims are separate.
Submitting a claim, registering or choosing a paid plan does not grant editing access. An operator reviews authorization and local-presence information separately before assigning an approved owner/editor relationship. Keep confidential evidence in the restricted review flow, not public photos.
Private home addresses stay private.
Locally based hidden-address providers are not required to publish a private street address just to satisfy a search engine. Do not include private addresses in descriptions, images or structured data.
Corrections and duplicates.
Suggested edits and potential duplicates go to review. A duplicate can be marked and linked to a surviving profile without dropping history or inventing combined review counts. Claim a listing or submit an eligible business.
